Tp-link Tl-wn723n Driver Windows 7 64 Bit
Hi I am running win7 64bit Pro core i7 pc with a Gigaset 762SX router. I bought 2 tp link mini wireless n usb adapters. (model TL-WN723N Ver 1.1) On my son's win xp system it installed and works fine. On my system it installed, but will not work. I cannot get windows to display any wireless connections.
The install disk installed it correctly as a tp link wireless adapter and it is the latest driver from tp link. Device manager report the adapter as working properly and its indicator light flash to indicate so.
There is however no icon on my taskbar for wireless connections (only the wired connection) Windows diagnostics keep reporting a possible error with the adapter driver. Windows update then installs a new driver and identify the adapter as a Realtek RTL8188SU wireless adapter. The problem however remain that the pc will not display any wireless connection. If I disabled the wired connection, a wireless icon will appear in the taskbar but with a X through it. The status info show no ipv4 or 6 connectivity or ssid no. The media state shows enabled and speed as 412.3 Gbps.
Windows network diagnostics report that the adapter is experiencing problems but cannot fix or specify more detail. Via the command prompt I can only determine that there is no wireless connection or adapter. I have uninstalled and re-installed several times with only the windows realtek driver or only the tp-link driver and always come back to the same problem - no wireless network connection available. Disabling Zone Alarm and MS Security essentials makes no difference. The adapter carries a Win7 compatible logo.
I checked the router settings for ssid broadcast, security protocols, etc and are happy it is set correctly? (wireless work on XP pc) I can not see any services related to networking or wireless that is disabled.
Can you please help me? Hi Azeez Thanks for your response. I have tried the tcp reset both auto and manually and each time the response was that the reset was successful, but there is still no wireless connection available. Status info as follws: ipv4 connection = not connected ipv6 connection = not connected media state = enabled ssid = blank duration = 00:00:00 speed = 412.3 Gbps signal quality = blank The details tab has no info Activity = packets sent = 0 packets received = 0 Items installed for this connection: client for MS networks Qos packet scheduler file and print sharing multicast protocol tcp/ipv6 tcp/ipv4 link layer topology mapper i/o driver link layer topology discovery responder I will appreciate any help you can offer. Regards Bossie. You guys don't have a clue about your own operating system.

I have the same problem I have installed three 3 THREE different adapters and I still get the same thing no connections available. They all work fine in Vista and XP. When you go to device manager and check them it always says this device in working properly, It says there may be a problem with the driver but I have installed every driver on the internet and still get the same results. And yes I have turned on network discovery and every other trick I can think of. If I could get the drivers for linux.
