It seems the BDMV raw that I used has a missing audio channel in the Japanese track. I have have place an order for the Blu-Ray disk of the movie and will do a re-rip of the Japanese audio. Apologies for not catching it earlier. The torrents will be corrected and the corrected audio track will be available for direct download. It seems like the North American version of the E7 movie is just pure fail, in terms of the Japanese audio track.
Its actually missing said channel on the original disk. 🙁 Audio is actually only 16bit, sorry for that mistake. Mediainfo reads the converted flac file as 24bit for some reason.

Not much more I can do about it. This seems to be a source problem. I didn’t really notice it due to the fact that I only have headphones at my encoding station. Here is the log from when the 5.1 Jap TrueHD file was encoded.

It can be solved by decoding to WAV.
The decoding step is lightning fast compared to the encoding step to FLAC, by the way. Eac3to test.AC3 test.WAV If a 16-bit track is detected, but the WAV file is still written 24-bit padded with zeroes, you can shave off those bits by using the -down16 switch. (Please, don’t do that with actual 24-bit recordings, it removes the lower 48 dB of all sound (144 dBFS versus 96 dBFS), that’s not lossless.) eac3to test.WAV test2.WAV -down16 You can delete the intermediate files when the encoding of a next file is done. Any FLAC encoder will happily accept normal WAV files generated by Eac3to.
Eac3to test.WAV test.FLAC or eac3to test2.WAV test.FLAC I use a separate 64-bit FLAC encoder to compress at settings far above the standard (-8). Do remember that many 32-bit encoders, like the reference encoder, have a memory addressing problem that makes encoding files larger than 2 GB impossible. 32-bit LibFLAC implementations such as the one built into Eac3to can output files larger than 2 GB, but are limited in encoding options. It seems the English audio track on episodes 40-49 are out of sync by quite a bit. I played around with MKVToolnix for a while, and came up with a solution that puts the English audio tracks back in sync (I compared a TV rip of the episodes to my fix, and they’re identical audio to video synchronization-wise). Using MKVToolnix, add episode 40, click on the “Format specific options” tab, and then select the English audio track, which is labeled “AAC3” Next what you’re going to want to do is type in a delay for the English audio track in the “Delay (in ms)” box.
The delay that I came up with and am extremely happy about is 600ms, so input “600” into the box. Then just select where you’d like to save the file, and hit “Start muxing.” That’s it. Repeat those steps for episodes 41-49 (episode 50 is in sync, which is kind of weird as to why the others aren’t).
